Live From the Mermaid's Tavern: Reflections on Our First Six Weeks
Six weeks ago, I started a digital houseconcert series on the fly to help local artists and my local folksong society respond to the Covid-19 crisis. I'm astounded at how quickly it's become A Thing. I've just been invited to be one of ten guests on a live web chat with the Country Dance and Song Society (CDSS) called " Yes we CAN keep in touch! Connecting Our Communities During the Pandemic " on Wednesday, April 29, 7:00-8:00 p.m. EDT. This blog post is a draft of my notes for the 3-4 minutes I will have to answer the questions below for a CDSS audience, and some reflections on why online community matters.
